After a delay of a year or two due to the pandemic, the 75th All Ireland Pipe Band Championships finally took place on Saturday 2 July at our very own Pearse Park.

The original line-up of bands was reduced by the withdrawal of four bands. In Grade 1, Field Marshal Montgomery took the All-Ireland title lifting both the MSR and Medley disciplines as well as the drumming in each.

A great day was had by all, some good weather, great performances, and a lovely opportunity to meet friends that we haven’t seen since 2019 and early 2020.
